Easy summer treat: Healthy Strawberry Popsicles

These strawberry popsicles are the perfect summer treat. They are refreshing, colorful, easy to make, healthy and delicious!

 

Summer is finally here and that also means a season full of fresh and delicious fruits and vegetables almost everywhere around us, specially berries! Whether you buy them from your local market, or go pick them yourself, now is the time to get your hands into the freshest and sweetest berries you will be tasting all year.

 

Berries are very special because they are packed with amazing health benefits. Blueberries have been known for their high content of antioxidants - called anthocyanins - that may help keep your memory sharp as you age. Raspberries contain ellagic acid, a compound with anti-cancer properties. And strawberries are an excellent source of vitamins C and K, as well as folic acid, manganese and potassium. Overall, berries are a great source of fiber, which will help keep your digestive system healthy, and to make everything better, they are really tasty.

 

With strawberries being the first ones to shine in the berry-time, we wanted to give you an easy, healthy and super colorful way to incorporate Samuraw Organic Complete into your kid's sunny summer days.

Healthy Strawberry Popsicles
+ Samuraw Organic Complete

 

Yields: 6 popsicles

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of organic fresh strawberries, washed and with stems removed
  • Juice of one lime
  • 1/4 cup of raw organic honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 6 - 8 scoops of Samuraw Organic Complete

 

Instructions:

  1. Blend together the strawberries, lime juice and honey in a blender or food processor until smooth. Give it some time, the liquid of the strawberries should be enough to help blend it. No need to add more liquid.
  2. Once it reaches a smooth texture, add the Samuraw Organic Complete and mix until it is well incorporated.
  3. Pour the mixture into your popsicle molds and freeze until solid. Around 2-3 hours.

 

Notes:

If you are having difficulty removing the popsicles, try running the mold through warm water for a few seconds, or soak the mold in a glass of warm water, to help loosen it.
