Imagine being able to give your family a delicious snack that is also super healthy and easy to make... sounds good right? Our very own advisory board member Cynthia Jan has taken chocolate pudding to a whole new level, we invite you to try this recipe for your family today, we promise you, it is as decadent as it is nutritious!

Who loves pudding?!?!? I do, my kids do, my husband does, my neighbors do, frankly I think everyone loves pudding! But commercial made puddings are full of additives and chemicals, so what is one to do! Make your own, it’s really quick and delicious.

It’s a great way to get your children to eat avocados! Avocados are great for your nerves, fatigue and they help control blood sugar levels. They are loaded with B vitamins, vitamin C and E, and contain minerals like calcium, sodium, folate, magnesium and zinc.

Lastly, this pudding is a great opportunity to add in powdered vitamins. The vitamin I have chosen for my children is Samuraw Organic Complete. What I do is simple, once the pudding is ready, I pour it into small cups and add a scoop of Samuraw Organic Complete into the pudding and mix the powder in well using a spoon.

What’s awesome about this? My children do not taste it at all and get all of the nutrients Samuraw Organic Complete provides! This leads to happy kids, happy mom!

 

 

 

Chocolate Avocado Pudding

Yields: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 3 small ripe avocados or 2 large ripe avocados
  • 1/3 cup cacao powder
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 scoop of Samuraw Organic Complete per serving

 

Instructions:

Place all ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth.

 

Notes:

KID TIP: ** If this is your first time making this pudding and are worried the kids might not like the avocados, even if they’re hidden, make this recipe with 1 large banana and 1 large avocado, then as your children get used to it, switch over to the recipe above.
